I’m David Long, founder of Hawkeye Dynamics.
I’ve spent my career — across 30+ countries, military service, and over a decade as a specialist educator — obsessing over one question: what does it actually take to send someone into a dangerous environment and know they’ll be okay?
That question built Hawkeye Dynamics.
Teaching is at the core of what I do. Whether I’m delivering immersive training, advising an organisation on deployment readiness, or building capability from the ground up — it starts with education. My background is military, but what I do is fundamentally about human transformation: taking people who have never faced genuine adversity and building the judgement, confidence, and resilience they need to operate effectively when it matters most.
This is not something I’ve added to a catalogue. This is all I do. It’s all I’ve ever done. Because getting this right is the difference between people who come home and people who don’t.
