“As a healthcare worker deploying to various remote/austere environments, I found the training on this course to be invaluable to staying safe off-the-beaten track, and I wish I’d done it earlier in my career.
The course had a focus on situation awareness, keeping your wits about you, and preventing yourself getting into dangerous situations. There was also a strong practical element with instruction on physical defence, responding to high-stress situations, and ways to get yourself out of tricky situations.
David and his team discussed my goals/objectives prior to the course, which helped us tailor the content to the regions I’ll be deploying to, and the types of risks I might expect to face.
The days were full, and we worked hard, but I was well looked-after. The team had clearly put in a huge amount of effort prior to the course to design it around my objectives/threat-profile, which ended in a large field-exercise which brought the whole week together.
